Part 1 – Review:
Participants will explore essential concepts in smile design, including tooth size, shape, and proportion, along with an in-depth discussion of gummy smile causes and their solutions. The session also covers biologic width violation theory and ferrule analysis, helping clinicians make precise treatment decisions.

Part 2 – Surgical Procedures:
This section focuses on both esthetic and functional crown lengthening techniques. Participants will learn practical tips, essential tools, and approaches for single- and two-stage procedures. Topics include deep margin elevation, biologic shaping, and myth-busting discussions on laser use and closed flap procedures. The course also reviews alternative methods such as orthodontic extrusion and the use of Botox and fillers.

The training concludes with an intensive hands-on experience, including crown lengthening on posterior teeth, suturing techniques, and a live surgery demonstration. An optional hands-on patient session is available at an additional fee on a separate day.

lecture & workshop

Lecture & Workshop Overview This course combines in-depth lectures with practical workshops designed to enhance both theoretical understanding and clinical performance. Part 1 – Review The session begins with a comprehensive review of key aesthetic and functional principles, including tooth size, shape, and proportion. Participants will learn to analyze gummy smile causes and explore effective treatment solutions. The course also covers biologic width violation theory and insufficient ferrule analysis, helping clinicians plan and execute restorative procedures with precision. Part 2 – Surgical Procedures In this section, participants will delve into esthetic and functional crown lengthening techniques. The training includes practical tips and essential tools, guidance on single- and two-stage procedures, and advanced methods such as deep margin elevation and biologic shaping. Common myths—such as laser use and closed flap procedures—are discussed in detail, along with alternative approaches like orthodontic extrusion and the use of Botox and fillers. Potential complications and management strategies are also addressed. Hands-On Training The course concludes with intensive hands-on practice, including posterior crown lengthening, suturing techniques, and a live surgery demonstration.
